The recipient of the Roger Caillois Award & the Anna Seghers Prize, she is the only author who has won the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize twice. She is currently Distinguished Professor in Hispanic Studies at the University of Houston.

SARAH BOOKER is a Spanish-to-English translator & PhD student at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is currently a visiting lecturer at the University of Seville.
